“Ferro” Beautiful Blessings

The Ferro earrings were the most common style in the Ming dynasty, and there is little variation in the basic style of gourd earrings, which consist of ear hooks, top lids, beads, girdles, beads and bottom brackets, distinguished by the sophistication of the style and the preciousness of the material. The Ferro became an auspicious motif through the love of the rulers and the superimposition of symbolic meaning, the top-down spread of ideas and culture and the accumulation of experience over time. The subtle relationship between auspicious motifs and people is really what I am exploring.
